Believe it not, there is uranium in Oklahoma! Our team made a stop there to take readings and samples.


There was a roadcut on the west side of Section 29 in Custer County
which produced excellent samples of carnotite in siltstone.


Note: The land on both sides of the road is private property! Do not attempt to climb the fences.
The best samples are found in the county owned ditch, anyway!



Notice the "spotty" uranium mineralization on this sample.

This is siltstone with a calcite crystal that acts as a "window" for viewing the layer of carnotite inside.
